DWS (Dickson Wohlsen Strategies) is a Brisbane based consultancy offering a range of services to the hospitality, tourism and leisure industries. During my time at Energize Design I would on occasion be tasked with working on third party design projects, facilitated through DWS. These projects varied from venue and rewards program branding, to promotional collateral requirements. Showcased here is an example of event theming for a hospitality industry trade show DWS attended. The project included a themed brochure (developed under the Creative Director, David Devey’s art direction), highlighting the DWS management training program run through their Club Training education arm. In addition to this, the theme was also applied to their booth display, to attract visitors and create a talking point throughout the day. People attending the trade show were key venue decision makers and the trade show was a way for DWS to let them know about the extensive range of services they offer, which could in turn benefit the day to day running of their business.
