After completing a visual analysis of the left of centre clothing and accessory store Mombasa, it was deemed that the existing brand did not fully encapsulate the company’s core values and beliefs. Based on these findings, preliminary recommendations were made in order to reposition the company within the current market. This process was necessary in order to ensure the appeal of the new Mombasa brand to their desired demographic and to improve their market position.
Quirky By Nature
The new Mombasa brand identity is inspired by the four seasons of nature. Choices in colour palette and support graphics are all heavily based on natural elements, the weather and the animal kingdom. The tag line ‘Quirky By Nature’ epitomises the new Mombasa vision. It not only refers to a person’s personality, it also links back to the primary brand inspiration — nature.
